Our Areas of Expertise

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is the latest generation of behavioral therapy that helps you deal with the obstacles you encounter in a flexible way, so you can continue to invest in the things that are truly important to you. The goal of ACT is not so much to reduce symptoms as it is to develop personal resilience. ACT is an active, experiential form of therapy that focuses on experiencing and practicing, placing less emphasis on “talking about it” and more on actually doing it.

Integral Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT)

IBCT is a form of couples therapy that focuses on improving emotional connection and reducing conflict in relationships.

This integrative approach combines elements of behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). What makes IBCT unique is that it emphasizes both accepting your partner with all his or her differences and shortcomings and encouraging positive change in behavior and interaction patterns.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a therapy for people who continue to suffer from the effects of traumatic experiences. These can include traumatic events, such as a distressing sexual experience, a difficult childbirth, or a traffic accident, but also experiences that have affected your development, such as bullying during childhood. EMDR is a proven, effective treatment method for processing traumatic experiences that still affect you today. Through eye movements or beeps combined with recalling the traumatic event, the brain’s information processing system is stimulated to properly process this event.
